What Body Parts Can Coolsculpting Target?

What Parts of the Body Does Coolsculpting Work On?

CoolSculpting is an innovative, affordable, non-invasive, fat loss treatment that uses cold temperatures to destroy fat cells.  Dr. Ali has helped hundreds of women and men get the body they want, using the CoolSculpting procedure in his Bloomfield Hills area medical office and Birmingham MedSpa.

In this article we discuss the different body parts that CoolSculpting can treat – to help you begin deciding which procedure is right for you.

But remember, you are unique! The best way to understand what CoolSculpting can do for you is a consultation and evaluation with Dr. Ali. He will provide detailed answers to your questions, so that you can chose the best fat loss treatment plan for your unique situation and body-sculpting goals.

Coolsculpting in General

CoolSculpting eliminates fat from the body by freezing and killing the fat cells with a special applicator. Your body will then flush out the dead fat cells over a few weeks or months. The CoolSculpting machine has a variety of hand-piece applicators – in a variety of sizes, and shapes – each of which is specially designed to tackle a particular target area.

CoolSculpting is FDA-approved in the United States for the treatment of fat bulges in many areas of the body, including: abdomen (belly fat); flanks (love handles or muffin tops); inner and outer thighs (“saddlebags”); back (bra rolls); underneath the buttocks; upper arms; and, submental area (“double chin”).

CoolSculpting for Tummy & Belly Fat

Coolsculpting targeting stubborn belly, tummy or abdominal fat is probably its most popular application. Heredity determines where fat is deposited on our bodies – and very few of us are free from genetic belly fat. CoolSculpting defies your DNA and gets rid of the fat cells around the abdomen permanently.

Depending upon the amount of fat and fat deposited in the associated areas, multiple treatment sessions may be needed to “sculpt” the best results. Abdominal CoolSculpting is often performed along with flank (love handle) CoolSculpting to achieve a smooth, slim, sculpted midsection.

CoolSculpting for Flanks, Love Handles & Muffin Tops

That stubborn fat on a person’s sides is sometimes called “love handles” to be nice – but we all know that nobody loves having them. And in most cases, all of the exercise in the world won’t make them go away.

Fortunately, CoolSculpting is an extremely effective treatment for getting rid of the “jiggle in the middle’ and the “muffin top” that protrudes over your jeans. Dr. Ali can either treat your flanks one after the other in multiple sessions, or treat both at the same time in a single session.

CoolSculpting for Thighs & Saddlebags

If you inherited your mother’s (or your grandmother’s) heavy thighs, you know that exercise may firm them but it will not reduce them.  However, a special CoolSculpting applicator is designed specifically for the thigh area. The CoolSculpting applicator works on both the inner and outer thighs – to grab those hard-to-reach fat bulges.

Dr. Ali can treat both inner thighs, or both outer thighs, in a single session. If you would like to treat both your inner and outer thighs, multiple sessions may be needed.

CoolSculpting for Double Chin & Neck

For many years the only way to get rid of an unwanted double chin was through surgery. Now, non-invasive CoolSculpting can effectively target the chin and neck area.

A special CoolSculpting device designed just for the chin area is called the CoolMini. In the hands of an experienced plastic surgeon, the CoolMini can be used to achieve contour in the chin area.

Double chin treatment with the CoolMini takes about an hour. Some men and women need only a single treatment to achieve the beautiful results they want. Others might need a second treatment achieve the best results.

CoolSculpting for Arms & Batwings

Even if you have toned biceps, as you age the development of fatty deposits and loosening skin can lead to flabby, “batwing” arms. This is an area of concern for many women – because it “shows their age” even when their face does not!

CoolSculpting can effectively treat excess fat in the upper arm area, although other treatments may be preferred if the problem is excess loose skin and not fat.

A benefit of CoolSculpting excess fat in the arms, over liposuction, is that the CoolSculpting process of fat removal is gradual – giving the skin time to bounce back as the fat is flushed away.

A special CoolSculpting applicator is designed just for use in longer treatment areas such as the arms.

CoolSculpting for Breasts

In some cases CoolSculpting can also help remove excess fat in the breast area of men with enlarged male breasts (gynecomastia). However, for breast reduction involving removal of actual breast tissue, surgery is generally a better option for both men and women.
