Top Thigh Lift Surgeon
Thigh lift surgery allows Michigan plastic surgeon Dr. Ali to reshape the thighs by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in a smoother and more well-proportioned look. While a thigh lift can tighten the skin, it cannot remove significant amounts of excess fat and should not be used as a weight loss technique.
As we age, gravity, fluctuations in weight and loss of skin elasticity combine to result in a loss of tone in the thigh area. A Michigan thigh lift can greatly improve the appearance of a patient’s legs.

Thigh Lift Procedure
During a thigh lift, Dr. Ali will make an incision, usually in the groin area, and depending on the extent of lift needed, the incision may extend either down around the thigh or out and around the hip. One the incision is made, Dr. Ali will reshape and tighten the tissue, while removing excess outer skin and redraping it to offer a smooth, proportionate looking contour.
Deep support sutures will be placed in the underlying tissues to ensure the shape of the new contour of the area remains. Then, Dr. Ali will close the skin incisions with sutures. Dr. Ali will take great care to make incisions in areas that will be masked by most clothing and bathing suits.
Dressings will cover your incisions and you may need to wear a compression garment to help reduce swelling and to support the new body contours Dr. Ali created. Surgical drains may also be placed to help remove any excess fluid or blood from the area.
It is important to follow all after care instructions to ensure the ideal result. You may experience some swelling and discomfort, and will be prescribed pain medication. Dr. Ali will advise you when you can resume all normal activities.
You’ll notice an immediate improvement in the contours of your thighs, but your shape will continue to improve over time. Once the swelling subsides, you’ll see new, beautifully contoured and lifted legs.
